MFO Code
Uzbekistan uses a 5-digit MFO (Mezhfilialniy Oborot) code to identify banks and their branches. The Central Bank of Uzbekistan maintains the MFO directory, and these codes are required for all domestic interbank transfers alongside the 20-digit account number.

How MFO works
The MFO code's first 2 digits identify the bank, and the remaining 3 digits identify the specific branch. For transfers, the sender must provide the recipient's MFO code, account number, tax ID (INN), and the bank's name.
