Bank Code
Ghanaian banks are identified by a 6-digit bank/branch code managed by the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS). These codes are used for interbank transfers through the GIP (Ghana Interbank Payment) and ACH systems.

How BC works
The 6-digit code consists of a 3-digit bank code and a 3-digit branch code. GhIPSS operates the real-time gross settlement, ACH direct credit/debit, and the Ghana Interbank Payment (GIP) instant payment system.
