Bank Code
Indonesian banks are identified by a 3-digit code assigned by Bank Indonesia. These codes are used for interbank transfers through BI-FAST, the national real-time payment system, and the older RTGS and SKN clearing systems.

How BC works
The 3-digit bank code identifies the financial institution (e.g. 014 = BCA, 002 = BRI). All interbank transfers require this code alongside the account number. BI-FAST uses proxy addresses (phone/email) as alternatives.

Good to know
Key bank codes: 002 = BRI, 008 = Mandiri, 009 = BNI, 014 = BCA, 022 = CIMB Niaga.
BI-FAST enables instant transfers 24/7 with lower fees than traditional RTGS.
GoPay, OVO, and DANA are popular e-wallets but bank transfers still require the 3-digit bank code.
