Sort Code
Trinidad and Tobago uses a 6-digit sort code system to identify bank branches, similar to the UK model. The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) manages the ACH TT system for electronic interbank payments.

How it works
The 6-digit sort code identifies the bank and branch. The first 2 digits represent the bank, and the remaining 4 digits identify the branch. ACH TT handles both credit transfers and direct debits, while Safe-tt provides real-time gross settlement.
