Code Banque
Moroccan banks are identified by a 3-digit Code Banque assigned by Bank Al-Maghrib, the central bank. Combined with branch and account codes, it forms the RIB (Relevé d'Identité Bancaire) used for interbank transfers through the SIMT payment system.

How CB works
The 3-digit Code Banque identifies the institution, a 3-digit city code and 5-digit branch code identify the location, followed by the account number and RIB key. SIMT (Système Interbancaire Marocain de Télécompensation) processes interbank payments.
