Bank Code
Sri Lankan banks are identified by a 4-digit bank code assigned by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). These codes are used for interbank transfers through CEFTS (Common Electronic Fund Transfer Switch) and the LankaPay network.

How BC works
The 4-digit bank code identifies the institution, and a separate 3-digit branch code identifies the branch. Both are required for SLIPS (Sri Lanka Interbank Payment System) and CEFTS real-time transfers.
