IBAN
Jordan uses a 30-character IBAN for identifying bank accounts. The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) oversees the payment infrastructure. Jordan adopted IBAN to streamline both domestic and cross-border transfers.

How it works
The Jordanian IBAN starts with "JO" followed by 2 check digits and a 26-character BBAN consisting of a 4-character bank code, a 4-digit branch code, and an 18-digit account number. The CBJ operates the RTGS-JO system.
