Bank Code
Nepalese banks are identified by a 3-digit bank code assigned by Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank. These codes are used for interbank transfers through connectIPS, the national electronic payment system operated by Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL).

How BC works
The 3-digit bank code identifies the financial institution, and branch codes are separate. connectIPS enables real-time fund transfers between bank accounts using the bank code and account number.
