Configuring Notifications from Slash
Stay informed about important account activity by customizing your notification preferences. Slash lets you control exactly how and when you receive alerts about transactions, fund movements, and account security.
Accessing Notification Settings
- Log in to your Slash account
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Notifications
Notification Delivery Methods
Slash supports three delivery channels:
- Email: Receive detailed notifications to your registered email address
- Push Notifications: Get instant alerts on your mobile device via the Slash app
- Webhooks: Send notifications to external services like Slack or Discord (web only)
You can enable any combination of these methods for each notification type.
Notification Categories
General
- Login: Alerts when someone logs into your account, including device type and location
- Cards created: Confirmation when new cards are successfully created
- Available spend below: Customizable alerts when your balance falls below a set threshold (tap "Edit" to configure your threshold amount)
Funds Movement
- Incoming deposits: When funds are deposited via instant or regular ACH
- Outgoing transfers: When ACH credits, wire transfers, or realtime transfers are initiated
- Funds received: When you receive incoming transfers from external sources
- Crypto transfers: Alerts for incoming cryptocurrency transfers (initiation and completion)
Purchases
- Card authorization: Real-time alerts when a purchase is made on your card
- Transaction declined: Notifications when a transaction is declined, including the reason
- Transaction refunded: When a merchant processes a refund to your card
- Transaction reversed: When a pending transaction is reversed
Additional Alerts
- ACH returns: Notifications for failed or returned ACH transactions
- Bank reauthorization required: Alerts when your linked bank connection needs renewal
- Automation rule approval needed: When a transaction requires your approval based on configured rules
- Wire hold placed: Notifications when a wire transfer is held for review
Configuring Balance Alerts
The "Available spend below" notification includes a customizable threshold:
- Find the "Available spend below" notification in the General section
- Click Edit
- Enter your desired threshold amount
- Choose your delivery methods (email, push, webhook)
- Save your changes
You'll receive an alert whenever your available balance drops below this amount.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving push notifications?
Ensure the Slash app has notification permissions on your device. Check that notifications aren't muted in your device settings.
Webhook not triggering?
Verify the webhook URL is correct and active. Check that the webhook is enabled for the specific notification type.
