Choosing Your Default Slash Account
Last updated March 21, 2026
Overview
If you have access to multiple Slash accounts—for example, if you're a member of several businesses or have both a personal and business account—you can set one as your default. Your default account is the one that loads automatically when you log in to Slash on web or mobile.
Changing your default account is helpful when you primarily work out of one account but occasionally need to access others.
How to Set Your Default Account
Step 1: Open the Account Switcher
On web, click your account name in the top left corner of the sidebar. On mobile, tap the account name at the top of your home screen.
Step 2: View Your Accounts
You'll see a list of all accounts you have access to. Each account shows the business name and your role (e.g., Admin, Member, Cardholder).
Step 3: Set as Default
Hover over (or long-press on mobile) the account you want to make your default, then select Set as default. A checkmark or star icon will appear next to your default account.
What Happens Next
The next time you log in, Slash will automatically open your default account. You can still switch between accounts at any time using the account switcher—setting a default just saves you a click.
Additional Considerations
- Switching accounts: You can switch accounts anytime without logging out. Just open the account switcher and select another account.
- Permissions: Your permissions may differ across accounts. For example, you might be an Admin on one account and a Cardholder on another.
- Notifications: You'll receive notifications for all accounts you're a member of, not just your default.
