Where to find your routing number

Three ways to find the nine-digit code you need for ACH transfers, direct deposits, and wire transfers.

1

On your check

The routing number is the first 9 digits printed at the bottom-left of any check, before the account number.

2

In your banking app

Open your bank's app and look under account details or settings — most banks display it there.

3

On your bank's website

Search "[bank name] routing number" — banks publish them on their support pages, often by state.

Bottom of your check

Always the first 9 digits, read left to right.
