Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Global Cards. Contact us for anything else.
Who's this for?
Non-U.S. businesses that need to spend in dollars without setting up a U.S. entity. We onboard companies from 100+ countries. If you're already U.S.-incorporated, the regular Slash Card on a business checking account is the right product for you.
What do I need to apply?
Proof of incorporation in your home country, a business address, and a passport for each beneficial owner. It's a separate application from U.S. business banking and goes through compliance review. We can't onboard sanctioned jurisdictions, cannabis, unlicensed money transmission or gambling, adult entertainment, or shell banks.
How do I fund the card?
Three ways into your Global USD account, and the card spends from that balance. You can send USDC or USDT across 9 supported networks including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Polygon, and Tron, which arrives in minutes. You can send an international wire in USD via Lead Bank (SWIFT LEADUS42XXX), which takes 1–4 business days. Or you can get paid directly by pointing Stripe, Shopify, Amazon, or any platform at your account and routing numbers. Incoming dollars are auto-converted to USDSL.
What actually happens when I swipe?
From your end: a normal Visa transaction. Behind the scenes, USDSL on your balance is converted to USD at the moment of authorization through our partner Rain, and the merchant is paid in dollars. You don't touch a wallet or sign a transaction; it works the same as any debit card. Non-USD merchants settle at Visa network rates.
Is my money safe if it's a stablecoin?
USDSL is pegged 1:1 to the dollar, issued by Bridge Building Inc., and backed by short-term U.S. Treasuries and cash equivalents. It's verifiable on-chain: your balance lives at a wallet you control, and you can look it up on BaseScan against the USDSL contract any time. The trade-off worth being clear about: USDSL is not FDIC-insured. It's a stablecoin, not a bank deposit. Slash doesn't custody your assets, so they aren't commingled with our operating funds.
What spend controls come with it?
The same toolkit as our U.S. corporate cards: per-card and per-group limits, MCC restrictions, instant freeze, role-based permissions, and unlimited virtual cards from the dashboard. Group cards by team, vendor, or project and track them against shared budgets.
How is this different from the regular Slash Card?
The regular Slash Card is a charge card issued by Column N.A. that settles daily out of an FDIC-insured business checking account, and it requires a U.S. entity. The Global Card is a Visa funded by your USDSL balance through Rain, with no U.S. entity required. Different rails, same dashboard.
