Overview

Slash offers physical Visa Platinum cards that can be used for in-person purchases and ATM withdrawals. This guide walks you through ordering a physical card, tracking its delivery, and activating it once it arrives.

Physical cards are linked to your Slash account or a specific subaccount, and they share the same spend controls and limits as your virtual cards.

How to Order a Physical Card

Step 1: Navigate to Cards

From your Slash dashboard, click Cards in the left navigation menu.

Step 2: Create a New Card

Click Create Card in the upper right corner. Select Physical Card as the card type.

Step 3: Configure Card Settings

Choose the account or subaccount the card should be linked to. You can also:

Set a custom card nickname for easy identification
Configure spend limits and merchant restrictions
Assign the card to a specific team member (if applicable)

Step 4: Enter Shipping Information

Enter the shipping address where you'd like the card delivered. Double-check the address for accuracy—cards cannot be redirected once shipped.

Step 5: Select Shipping Speed

Choose your preferred shipping option:

Standard shipping: 7-10 business days (free)
Express shipping: 2-3 business days (fee may apply)

Step 6: Confirm and Submit

Review your order details and click Order Card to submit. You'll receive a confirmation email with your order details.

Tracking Your Card

Once your card ships, you can track its status from the Cards page. Click on the card to view shipping updates and estimated delivery date. For express orders, a tracking number will be provided in your confirmation email.

How to Activate Your Physical Card

Step 1: Locate the Activation Prompt

When your card arrives, log in to your Slash dashboard and navigate to Cards. The new card will display an Activate button or show a status of "Awaiting Activation."

Step 2: Enter the Last 4 Digits

Click Activate and enter the last 4 digits of the card number printed on your physical card. This confirms you have the card in hand.

Step 3: Set Your PIN

Create a 4-digit PIN for ATM withdrawals and in-person transactions that require a PIN. Choose something memorable but not easily guessable (avoid sequences like 1234 or your birth year).

Step 4: Start Using Your Card

Once activated, your physical card is ready to use immediately. The card is active for both swipe and chip transactions.

Adding to Digital Wallets

After activation, you can add your physical Slash Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments. From the card details page, tap Add to Wallet and follow the prompts on your device.

Additional Features and Considerations

Card controls: You can pause, set limits, or restrict merchant categories at any time from the Cards page
Multiple physical cards: You can order additional physical cards linked to different subaccounts or for different team members
Replacement cards: If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can order a replacement from the card details page. The old card will be automatically deactivated
International use: Physical Slash Cards work internationally wherever Visa is accepted. Foreign transaction fees may apply depending on your account type

If your card hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, check the tracking status on your dashboard first. If tracking shows delivered but you haven't received it, contact Slash support immediately—we can cancel the card and issue a replacement.
