How to Redeem Cashback Rewards

Overview
Slash automatically earns cashback on eligible card purchases made with your Slash Card. Once you've accumulated cashback, you can redeem it and transfer those funds to your Slash account or an external destination.
This article explains how to view your cashback balance and complete a redemption.
Viewing Your Cashback Balance
Your cashback balance is displayed on the home dashboard in the Cashback widget, which shows:
- Available cashback: The amount you can redeem now
- Pending cashback: Cashback that is still processing and not yet available for redemption
Cashback becomes available after the underlying card transaction settles, which typically takes 1-3 business days.
How to Redeem Cashback
Step 1: Open the Cashback Panel
From your home dashboard, locate the Cashback widget and click Redeem.
Step 2: Enter the Redemption Amount
Enter the amount you'd like to redeem. By default, the full available balance is pre-filled, but you can adjust this to any amount up to your available cashback.
Step 3: Select a Destination
Choose where you want the funds transferred. You can redeem cashback to:
- Your Slash account: Funds are deposited instantly with no fee
- A linked bank account: Standard ACH transfer fees may apply
- A saved contact: If you have contacts set up, you can send cashback directly to them
Step 4: Review and Confirm
Review the summary showing your redemption amount, payment method, and recipient. If transferring to an external account, any applicable fees will be displayed.
Click Continue to complete the redemption.
Step 5: Confirmation
You'll see a confirmation screen with your redemption details. Click Done to close the panel. Funds transferred to your Slash account are available immediately.
Additional Considerations
- Minimum redemption: There is no minimum amount required to redeem cashback
- Cashback rates: Your cashback rate depends on your subscription tier and may vary by merchant category. View your current rates in the Cashback panel under Cashback Rates
- Transaction history: You can view your cashback earning history with a monthly breakdown, including the cashback rate, amount earned, total spend, and any refunds
