How to Apply for the Slash Global USD Account
Last updated May 19, 2026
Overview
The Slash Global USD Account is designed for businesses incorporated outside the United States.
With a Global USD Account, you get a US bank account with routing number, SWIFT access for international wires, a non-custodial crypto wallet for USDC and USDT, and the ability to receive fiat payouts from platforms like Stripe and Shopify. Your account balance is denominated in USDSL, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar.
Global USD is a separate application from Slash Business Banking, so let's walk through how to get started. If you'd like a deeper introduction to the product before applying, see What is the Slash Global USD Account?.
Eligibility
Global USD is available to businesses incorporated in 130+ countries. To be eligible, you'll need:
- A business legally incorporated outside the United States. US-incorporated entities should apply for Slash Business Banking instead.
- A business operating in an eligible industry and country. Some jurisdictions and business types are restricted due to regulatory requirements.
- Valid government-issued identification for all beneficial owners (anyone who owns 25% or more of the business) and at least one controlling person, such as a CEO, CFO, or managing director.
For a country-by-country breakdown, see Supported Countries for Global USD and How to Know if You're Eligible for Slash.
What You'll Need Before You Apply
Have the following ready before starting your application. Submitting complete information up front is the fastest path to approval.
- Business information: Legal business name, date of incorporation, registered business address, phone number, and website.
- Articles of incorporation: The official formation documents issued when your company was legally established.
- Proof of business address: Documentation verifying the physical location where your company operates (for example, a utility bill, lease agreement, or government-issued business registration document).
- Beneficial owner details: Full legal name, date of birth, residential address, email, and phone number for every individual who owns 25% or more of the business, plus at least one controlling person.
- Government-issued ID and passport: Each beneficial owner must provide a government-issued identification card or driver's license, along with a valid passport.
- Bank or credit card statements: Two recent statements from another financial institution. These help Slash understand your typical transaction patterns and expected account activity.
- Proof of operating activity: Documentation showing your business is actively operating and generating revenue. Recent invoices, signed contracts, or revenue statements all qualify.
How to Apply
Step 1: Start Your Application
Visit slash.com/apply to begin. The first question asks where your company is located. When you select a country outside the United States, your application will automatically route to the Global USD Account flow.
You'll then answer a few short questions about your business — including your email, employee count, monthly card spend, and stablecoin payment volume — so we can route you to the right team. After that, you can either book a demo with our sales team or skip ahead and proceed directly to the application.
Step 2: Enter Your Business Information
Provide details about your business, including:
- Legal business name and country of incorporation
- Date of incorporation and registered business address
- Industry and a brief description of what your company does
- Estimated annual revenue and expected monthly transaction volume
- Website and primary contact information
You'll also upload your articles of incorporation and proof of business address in this step.
Step 3: Add Beneficial Owners and Control Persons
Next, add information for every individual who owns 25% or more of the business, as well as at least one controlling person (such as a CEO, CFO, or managing director). For each person, you'll provide:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Ownership percentage and role in the business
- Government-issued ID and a valid passport
This information is required for KYC (Know Your Customer) and global anti-money-laundering compliance, and is reviewed against international sanctions and watchlists.
Step 4: Upload Supporting Documents
Upload the documents you gathered earlier:
- Two recent bank or credit card statements from another financial institution
- Proof of operating activity (recent invoices, signed contracts, or revenue statements)
- Any additional documentation requested based on your country or industry
PDF, PNG, and JPG formats are all accepted. Files should be clearly legible — blurry or partial documents are the most common cause of follow-up requests.
Step 5: Review the Terms and Submit
Review your application for accuracy, then read and accept the Global USD terms and services. Once you've checked the required boxes, submit your application for review.
What Happens After You Apply
Most Global USD applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days. Some applications, particularly those from countries that require enhanced due diligence, may take longer.
Our compliance team will reach out by email if we need clarification or additional documents. Responding promptly is the single best way to speed up approval.
Once approved, your Global USD Account is ready to use. You'll see your US account and routing numbers, your SWIFT details (via Lead Bank, SWIFT code LEADUS42XXX), and your crypto wallet addresses in your dashboard. From there, you can start adding funds and sending and receiving payments.
Need More Help?
If your application is taking longer than expected or you've received a follow-up request, double-check that every document is current, legible, and matches the information on your application — mismatched names or addresses are the most common reason for delays.
