What's the Slash Global USD Account?
Last updated March 21, 2026
Overview
A Global USD Account is a USD-denominated account designed for international access. It lets you hold, send, and receive US dollars from anywhere in the world through traditional banking rails (like SWIFT) or cryptocurrency networks (like USDC and USDT).
Global USD sits between a traditional bank account and a stablecoin wallet: you get a real bank account with routing numbers for wire transfers, plus the speed and global accessibility of crypto when you need it.
Who It's For
Global USD is designed for businesses based outside the United States that need reliable access to US dollars. Traditionally, holding and moving USD requires either a US bank account (which typically requires US incorporation) or navigating correspondent banking relationships that are slow, expensive, and often inaccessible to smaller companies.
Global USD removes that barrier. You can open a USD-denominated account without incorporating in the US, without maintaining a physical US presence, and without relying on intermediary banks that add days and fees to every transaction.
Common use cases include:
- International service businesses: Agencies, consultancies, and software companies that invoice US clients in dollars and want to avoid conversion fees and SWIFT delays when getting paid
- E-commerce and marketplace sellers: Businesses selling to US customers who need a US-based account for payouts from platforms like Amazon, Stripe, or Shopify
- Global remote teams: Companies paying US-based contractors or receiving payments from US partners without the overhead of a US subsidiary
- Crypto-native companies: Businesses that operate on-chain but need a compliant off-ramp to traditional banking rails
If your business earns revenue in USD or pays expenses in USD, Global USD gives you direct access to the US financial system from wherever you're based.
How It Works
Every Global USD Account includes:
- A US bank account: Complete with account and routing numbers for receiving domestic ACH transfers and wires
- SWIFT access: Receive international wire transfers via Lead Bank (SWIFT code: LEADUS42XXX)
- Crypto deposit addresses: Add funds instantly using USDC or USDT on supported networks
- On-chain withdrawals: Send stablecoins to external wallets
Funds deposited via any method are converted to a unified USD balance. When you withdraw, you choose whether to send a traditional wire or an on-chain transfer.

Eligibility
Global USD is available to businesses in more than 130 countries. For a list of countries where Global USD is not currently offered, click here.
When you apply for a Slash account online, the first step asks for your company location. If you select a country outside the United States, your application will default to a Global USD account.
To apply for a Slash business checking or treasury account, you must enter information for a U.S.-incorporated business on the Company location page. If you do not have a U.S.-registered corporation, partnership, or other business entity, you will not be eligible for those accounts.
