Understanding Your Homepage Dashboard
The homepage dashboard gives you a real-time view of your business finances. When you log in to Slash, you'll see an interactive chart displaying your account balances and spending activity over time.
What You'll See
Your dashboard shows two key metrics:
- Cash Account Balance: Funds in your checking and subaccounts, shown as a green line on the chart
- Treasury Balance: Funds earning yield in your Treasury account, shown as a blue line
The total amount displayed above the chart represents your combined available balance across all accounts. Pending transactions are excluded from this total but you can hover over the info icon to see how much is pending.
Step 1: Select a Time Period
Use the time period selector at the top of the chart to adjust your view. Available options include:
- 1 Week: Activity from the past 7 days
- 1 Month: Activity from the past 30 days
- 3 Months: Activity from the past 90 days (default view)
- 1 Year: Activity from the past 12 months
- This Week/Month/Quarter/Year: Activity since the start of the current period
Step 2: View Balance vs. Spend
Toggle between two chart views:
- Balance: A line chart showing how your total balance has changed over time. If you have both a cash account and Treasury, you'll see both balances stacked together.
- Spend: A bar chart showing your card spending activity for the selected period, with total spend displayed above the chart.
Step 3: Explore Specific Dates
Hover over (or tap on mobile) any point on the chart to see your exact balance or spend amount for that date. The chart displays the date and corresponding dollar amount for quick reference.
Additional Features
Below the chart, your homepage also includes:
- Transaction Summary: Recent transactions across your accounts
- Virtual Cards: Quick access to your active virtual cards
- Quick Actions: Buttons to move money, send payments, or add funds
