How to Transfer Funds Between Slash Accounts
Last updated March 21, 2026
Overview
Internal transfers allow you to move funds between multiple Slash accounts that you own or have access to within your organization. This feature is designed for businesses and individuals who manage multiple Slash business accounts and need to reallocate funds between them for cash management, operational needs, or organizational purposes.
Internal transfers are subject to monthly transfer limits based on your account type and settings. You can monitor your remaining transfer allowance within the transfer interface.
How to Transfer Funds Between Slash Accounts
After logging into your Slash account, follow these steps to move funds between your Slash accounts:
Step 1: Access the Internal Transfer Interface
At the top right of your home dashboard, click 'Move Money' > 'Internal Transfer'.
Step 2: Enter the Transfer Amount
In the 'Amount to transfer' field, enter the dollar amount you wish to move between accounts.
Step 3: Select Source and Destination Accounts
Choose which account to transfer from in the 'From' section and which account to receive funds in the 'To' section. Each dropdown displays all Slash accounts you have access to, along with their current balances. You can use the 'Swap' button to quickly reverse the transfer direction if needed.
Step 4: Review Transfer Details
Before submitting, verify the following information displayed in the interface:
- Current balance: The source account's balance before the transfer
- Balance after transfer: The projected balance in the source account after funds are withdrawn
- Transfer limit status: Remaining transfers available this month
Step 5: Execute the Transfer
Once you've confirmed all details are correct, click the 'Send' button to execute the internal transfer. The funds will be moved instantly between the accounts.
Additional Information
Monthly Transfer Limits
Internal transfers are subject to monthly limits that vary based on your account configuration. The transfer interface displays your remaining transfer allowance for the current month. If you reach your monthly limit and need to make additional transfers, contact Slash support to discuss increasing your limit or wait until the next calendar month when your limit resets.
Account Access Requirements
You can only transfer funds between Slash accounts that you have appropriate permissions to access. If you need to transfer funds to or from an account that doesn't appear in your account dropdown:
- Verify you have the necessary access permissions for both accounts
- Contact your organization's account administrator to request access
- Confirm the destination account is part of the same Slash organization
Transfer Reversals
Internal transfers are processed instantly and cannot be automatically reversed through the interface. If you make a transfer in error, you will need to:
- Execute a new internal transfer in the opposite direction to move the funds back
- Ensure this doesn't exceed your monthly transfer limit
- Verify sufficient funds remain in the account for any reversal transfer
Troubleshooting and Support
Transfer Failed or Insufficient Funds
If your internal transfer fails or you receive an insufficient funds error:
- Verify the source account has enough available balance to cover the transfer amount
- Check if any funds are currently held or pending in the source account
- Ensure you haven't exceeded any account-specific transfer restrictions
Cannot See Expected Accounts
If you don't see an account you expected to transfer to or from, confirm that both accounts are part of the same Slash organization. If you verify that you have proper permissions to transfer funds into that account, contact Slash for support through your dashboard.
Reached Monthly Transfer Limit
If you've reached your monthly internal transfer limit, you can wait until the next calendar month when limits reset or contact Slash support to request a higher transfer limit for your account.
