Whether you’re getting ready for an internal audit or you just want to take a look at recent trends, it’s important to be able to fully track your team’s financial activities. That’s why we’re introducing Activity Logs: centralized, easy-to-navigate records of important actions taken within your Slash account.
Activity Logs give your team a clear view of who did what, when it happened, and what was affected. Over 70 actions can be tracked, including card creations, transfers, bills, webhooks, expenses, and spending-rule adjustments. That means busy founders and small business owners can piece together recent events without having to hunt anyone down and ask them questions.
How it Works
Your Activity Logs are located under your Entity Settings within the Slash dashboard. Each entry includes a timestamp, the person responsible, a short description of the event, and what was changed. Recent events are displayed by default, but if you’re looking for something more specific, you can also use our filtering tools to sort by team member, event type, and affected item.
Many entries come with additional context and more granular details in their side panel. In the case of rule edits, for example, your Activity Logs can show the relevant values before and after. If someone adjusted a card limit, you can see what that limit used to be and what it is now. After all, learning that a rule changed isn’t as useful as knowing exactly how it changed and who changed it. Where supported, you can also navigate directly to the affected card, recipient, or payment.
Overall, we built Activity Logs to help make sure no impactful financial moves or decisions fly under the radar. We had enterprise-level teams in mind especially, since trying to capture this sort of information across widespread departments can be overwhelming.
Activity Logs are already live on your dashboard. If you have an owner or admin role, you’ll receive the feature automatically, but certain other roles and levels may need that permission granted. If you do have the permission, you don’t have to do anything to get set up – log onto Slash and take a look at what your team’s been up to!
