How to Initiate a Drawdown
Last updated March 21, 2026
Overview
A drawdown allows you to access funds from your approved credit line directly into your Slash account. Once your Capital application has been approved, you can initiate a drawdown at any time, up to your available credit limit.
Before You Begin
To initiate a drawdown, you must have an approved Capital application. If you haven't applied yet, visit the Capital section in your dashboard and click "Open Capital account" to begin the application process with our lending partner, Slope.
How to Initiate a Drawdown
Step 1: Navigate to Capital
From your main dashboard, click on "Capital" in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Open the Drawdown Modal
On the Capital page, click the "Initiate drawdown" button. This opens a modal where you can specify your drawdown details.
Step 3: Enter Your Drawdown Amount
Use the slider or type directly into the input field to select how much you want to draw down. As you adjust the amount, you'll see:
- Outstanding balance: Your current balance owed, plus the new drawdown amount
- New drawdown: The amount you're requesting
- Remaining balance: How much credit will remain available after this drawdown
Step 4: Review and Confirm
Review the expected credit changes displayed in the modal. When you're ready, click "Initiate drawdown" to submit your request.
Step 5: Complete the Checkout Process
After submitting, you'll be redirected to Slope's secure checkout page in a new browser tab. Follow the prompts to complete the drawdown process. Once finalized, the funds will be credited to your Slash account.
Viewing Past Drawdowns
You can view your drawdown history in the "Past drawdowns" section at the bottom of the Capital page. This table shows the credited account, date initiated, date paid, fees, interest, amount, and status for each drawdown.
Additional Information
- Credit limits: Your available credit is determined by Slope based on your application. You can only draw down up to your remaining available balance.
- Repayment: Drawdowns are repaid according to the terms set by Slope. Check your Slope portal at pay.slopepay.com for repayment details and schedules.
- Fees and interest: Any applicable fees or interest rates are displayed in your drawdown history and determined by your agreement with Slope.
