Blockchain Networks Supported by Slash
Last updated March 21, 2026
Overview
Slash supports cryptocurrency transfers across multiple blockchain networks, allowing you to receive stablecoins (USDC and USDT) and send funds to external wallets. This article explains which networks are available and how they differ.
Supported Networks
Slash currently supports the following blockchain networks for crypto transfers:
- Ethereum: The largest and most established smart contract platform. Offers broad wallet compatibility but typically has higher transaction fees.
- Solana: A high-performance blockchain known for fast transaction speeds and low fees. Popular for high-volume transfers.
- Base: A Layer 2 network built on Ethereum, offering lower fees while maintaining compatibility with Ethereum wallets. Base is also the home of USDSL, Slash's native stablecoin.
- Polygon: Another Ethereum Layer 2 solution providing fast, low-cost transactions with wide exchange and wallet support.
- Tron: A network commonly used for USDT transfers, particularly popular in international commerce due to its low fees.
Supported Stablecoins
On these networks, Slash supports:
- USDC (USD Coin): Available on Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Polygon
- USDT (Tether): Available on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Tron
- USDSL: Slash's native stablecoin, available exclusively on Base
How to Choose a Network
When sending or receiving crypto, consider these factors:
Step 1: Check Recipient Compatibility
Confirm which networks your recipient's wallet or exchange supports. Not all exchanges support all networks for deposits.
Step 2: Consider Transaction Fees
Ethereum mainnet typically has the highest fees, while Layer 2 networks (Base, Polygon) and alternative chains (Solana, Tron) offer significantly lower costs.
Step 3: Evaluate Speed Requirements
Most transactions confirm within minutes, though Ethereum mainnet may take longer during periods of high network congestion.
Processing Times
Crypto transfers typically complete within minutes to approximately 30 minutes, depending on network confirmation times. Transactions appear as pending in your dashboard immediately and update to completed once confirmed on-chain.
Important Considerations
- Always double-check the network selection matches your recipient's wallet address. Sending funds to the wrong network can result in permanent loss.
- Each network has a different address format. Slash will validate that your destination address matches the selected network.
- For receiving crypto deposits, select the network your sender will use to ensure proper routing.
