How to Get a Confirmation of Good Status from the State of Delaware
Last updated April 2, 2026
Overview
A Confirmation of Good Status is a document from the Delaware Division of Corporations that verifies your business entity is in good standing with the state. Unlike a formal Certificate of Good Standing, this confirmation is obtained through the state's online entity search portal and costs $10.
If Slash has requested a Confirmation of Good Status for your Delaware entity, this guide walks you through how to obtain one and submit it as part of your application.
Step 1: Visit the Delaware Division of Corporations Entity Search
Navigate to the Delaware Division of Corporations Entity Search page at icis.corp.delaware.gov
Step 2: Search for Your Business and Open Entity Details
Enter your legal entity name in the search field and select your business entity from the results at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Request Your Entity's Status
Near the bottom of the entity details page, select 'Status' from the available options and click 'Submit' to request your entity's good standing confirmation.
Step 4: Review and Continue
A message will appear explaining that you are requesting your entity status, not a Certificate of Good Standing. After reading, click 'Continue' to proceed to the payment and login page.
Step 5: Log In to Your Delaware Secretary of State Account
Enter your Delaware Secretary of State account credentials to log in. If you don't already have an account, you will need to create one before proceeding.
Step 6: Complete Payment
Enter your payment details to complete the $10 fee for the status confirmation.
Step 7: Save and Upload Your Confirmation
Once the payment is complete, you'll be taken to your entity details page showing your business's good standing status. Take a screenshot of this page and upload it in the Slash onboarding flow if prompted.
Why Is This Document Required?
A Confirmation of Good Status demonstrates that your business is active, legally registered, and compliant with state obligations. Slash and other financial institutions rely on this document to verify your business's credibility, streamline onboarding, and ensure smooth financial transactions.
