Slash Independence Day Event
Effective date:
This Slash Independence Day Event Agreement ("Terms") governs the Slash Independence Day Event (the "Event"), a limited-time promotion offered by Slash Financial, Inc. ("Slash," "we," or "us"). By participating in the Event, including by adding funds to your Slash Account with intent to qualify, you agree to these Terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Slash Terms of Service. These Terms are entered solely between you and Slash and are supplemental to, and do not replace, the Slash Terms of Service, which continue to govern your Slash Account generally.
Slash is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services, including Account opening and deposit accounts, are provided through Slash's banking partner, Column N.A., Member FDIC (the "Banking Provider"). The Banking Provider sets Account approval requirements and has ultimate discretion to approve or deny Account applications. Account opening is subject to the Banking Provider's terms of service, privacy policy, and other applicable agreements, policies, and procedures, which are separate from these Terms.
This Event applies only to Slash business Accounts held with the Banking Provider (Column N.A.) — i.e., standard USD deposit accounts. The Event does not apply to, and deposits into, the following do not count toward the US$250,000 threshold under any circumstance: the Slash Global USD Account, USDSL or other stablecoin holdings, Slash Treasury accounts, or any other non-Column N.A. product or account type.
1. Event Period
The Event runs from 8:00 AM Pacific Time on July 2, 2026 through 11:59 PM Pacific Time on July 6, 2026 (the "Event Period"). Deposits, withdrawals, or other account activity occurring outside the Event Period do not count toward qualification, regardless of when a claim or verification request is made. Slash may extend, shorten, or terminate the Event Period at any time, in its sole discretion, by posting updated Terms. Any such change will not reduce a bonus already earned by a customer who fully satisfied the requirements below during the Event Period as it existed at the relevant time. In addition, once you have satisfied the Qualifying Deposit Requirement in Section 3 during the Event Period, Slash will not reduce the US$2,500 bonus amount or impose additional eligibility requirements on you, provided you complete the Hold Period and remain in good standing. This Event is void where prohibited by law.
2. Eligibility
To qualify for the Event bonus, you must:
- Hold a Slash business Account with the Banking Provider (Column N.A.) that is open and in good standing at the time you qualify, or open a new such Account during the Event Period for purposes of participating in the Event. You do not need to be an existing Slash customer to participate, and existing Account holders are equally eligible. A Slash Global USD Account alone does not satisfy this requirement;
- Keep your Account in good standing— meaning open, active, compliant with both Slash's and the Banking Provider's requirements, and not subject to any restriction, hold, suspension, or closure proceeding — continuously from the date you qualify through the date the bonus is paid;
- Add at least US$250,000 in net new deposits to your Slash Account(s) during the Event Period (see Section 3); and
- Not be subject to any of the exclusions in Section 5.
If you are opening a new Slash Account to participate: new Account applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM Pacific Time on July 4, 2026 to allow sufficient time for underwriting, approval, and settlement of the qualifying deposit before the Event Period ends. Account opening remains subject to approval by the Banking Provider, which has ultimate discretion to approve or deny any application; approval is not guaranteed, and Slash assumes no obligation to expedite processing to accommodate the Event Period. Deposits cannot be credited toward the US$250,000 threshold until the Account is approved and opened. Submitting an application by the deadline does not guarantee that your Account will be approved and opened, or that your qualifying deposit will settle, before the Event Period ends. If your Account is not approved and your deposit does not settle within the Event Period, you will not qualify for the bonus, and neither Slash nor the Banking Provider is obligated to extend the Event Period, the application deadline, or the Hold Period for you.
You are limited to one bonus under this Event per beneficial owner or business entity, including across subsidiaries, affiliates, and related entities, regardless of how many Slash Accounts you hold.
3. Qualifying Deposit Requirement
- "Net new deposits" means the total dollar amount of incoming transfers to your Slash business Account(s) held with the Banking Provider during the Event Period, less any withdrawals, transfers out, or reversals during the same period. Only settled, undisputed transfers to a Column N.A. Account count. Funds held in or transferred to a Slash Global USD Account, USDSL or other stablecoin balance, Slash Treasury account, or any other non-Column N.A. product do not count toward the threshold, regardless of the U.S. dollar value of those holdings.
- The full US$250,000 in net new deposits must be added within the Event Period. Deposits made before 8:00 AM PT on July 2, 2026, or after 11:59 PM PT on July 6, 2026, do not count, even if the funds remain on deposit during the Event Period.
- If you hold multiple Slash Accounts with the Banking Provider under the same business entity, net new deposits are aggregated across those Column N.A. Accounts (Global USD and other non-Column N.A. balances are not included in this aggregation).
- Balance-hold period. To qualify for the bonus, the full qualifying US$250,000 must remain on deposit with Slash for ninety (90) consecutive days, beginning the day the Event Period ends (i.e., starting July 7, 2026) (the "Hold Period"). If the qualifying balance drops below US$250,000 at any point during the Hold Period — whether through withdrawal, transfer out, dispute, or reversal — the deposit no longer satisfies this requirement, and the bonus is forfeited unless Slash determines, in its sole discretion, that the shortfall was immaterial or promptly cured.
- FDIC coverage note. FDIC deposit insurance coverage only protects against the failure of an FDIC-insured deposit institution. Deposits in Slash business checking accounts are FDIC-insured through Column N.A., Member FDIC, and Column’s Sweep Program Network Banks. Deposit placement through Column’s Deposit Sweep Program is subject to the terms, conditions, and disclosures in the Sweep Agreement.
4. Bonus
Eligible customers who satisfy Sections 2 and 3 — including full completion of the 90-day Hold Period — will receive a one-time cash bonus of US$2,500, credited to their Slash Account in U.S. dollars within thirty (30) days after the Hold Period ends, provided Slash has verified by that point that (a) the qualifying deposit requirement was met within the Event Period, (b) the full US$250,000 remained on deposit throughout the Hold Period, and (c) the customer remained in good standing through the verification date. Based on an Event Period ending July 6, 2026 and a Hold Period beginning July 7, 2026, the Hold Period is expected to end on or about October 5, 2026, with the bonus credited no later than November 4, 2026, assuming timely verification. The bonus is paid as a single payment and is not contingent on any card-spend, onboarding, or other requirement beyond those stated in these Terms.
You may not redeem the bonus for cash-equivalent value beyond the credit itself, transfer it to any third party or unrelated Account, or combine it with any other Slash promotion, referral bonus, or third-party offer, unless expressly approved in writing by an authorized Slash representative.
5. Exclusions
The following do not count toward the US$250,000 threshold and do not qualify for the bonus:
- Funds held in, or transferred to, a Slash Global USD Account, USDSL or other stablecoin balance, a Slash Treasury account, or any other product or account not held with the Banking Provider;
- Internal transfers between your own Slash Accounts, or between Accounts held by affiliated or related entities;
- Reversed, disputed, or subsequently unwound transactions;
- Deposits funded by a Slash-originated credit facility (e.g., Slash Working Capital), unless expressly approved in writing;
- Any deposit associated with self-referral, sham transactions, circular funding, or other conduct Slash determines, in its sole discretion, is intended to artificially inflate the qualifying balance.
6. Restrictions and Clawback
If the qualifying deposit fails to satisfy the Hold Period requirement in Section 3, the bonus is not earned and will not be paid; this is a disqualification, not a clawback, since payment does not occur until after the Hold Period is verified. Once paid, Slash may still withhold, reduce, reverse, or claw back the bonus if: (a) you did not in fact satisfy all eligibility and qualification requirements in these Terms, notwithstanding Slash's earlier verification; (b) your Slash Account is closed, suspended, or not in good standing at any time between when the bonus is earned and when it is paid; (c) Slash determines that you engaged in self-referrals, fraudulent applications, false information, sham transactions, multiple applications, gaming, circumvention, or any other conduct inconsistent with these Terms; (d) Slash paid the bonus in error; or (e) you breach these Terms or any other agreement with Slash. Slash will net the value of any bonus already paid against transaction reversals, chargebacks, penalties, or other amounts you owe. Bonuses are not guaranteed and remain subject to Slash's sole discretion.
7. Taxes
The bonus may constitute miscellaneous income. Slash may issue a Form 1099-MISC, Form 1042-S, or other applicable tax form. You are solely responsible for any tax liability arising from your participation in the Event. Please consult your tax advisor.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Slash and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your participation in the Event or the receipt, use, or misuse of the bonus, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Slash is not responsible for delays or failures in crediting a bonus caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, banking-network disruptions, or events of force majeure.
9. Program Changes; Termination
Slash may modify these Terms, the bonus amount, or the eligibility requirements at any time, in its sole discretion, by posting updated Terms, subject to Section 1 above. Slash may suspend or terminate the Event, or a customer's participation in it, at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice. Slash's clawback rights and your tax obligations survive any termination of these Terms or closure of your Slash Account.
10. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, consistent with the Slash Terms of Service. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Event is subject to the mandatory arbitration and class-action-waiver provisions set out in the Slash Terms of Service, which apply to these Terms as though fully set forth herein.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remainder will be severed from these Terms without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Slash Terms of Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Slash with respect to the Event and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings regarding its subject matter. In the event of a direct conflict between these Terms and the Slash Terms of Service as to a matter expressly addressed in these Terms, these Terms control solely as to that matter.
