How to Onboard with Slash Crypto

Overview

Slash Crypto lets you hold, send, and receive cryptocurrency alongside your Slash business banking. With a Slash Crypto account, you can fund your account using USDC or USDT, convert between USD and stablecoins, and send crypto to external wallets on multiple blockchain networks including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Polygon, and Tron.

Before you can use Slash Crypto, you'll need to complete a brief additional verification process. This article walks you through the steps to enable crypto on your Slash account.

Eligibility

Slash Crypto is available to verified Slash business customers. To be eligible, you'll need:

• An approved Slash business account
• A business operating in an eligible industry
• Valid identification for beneficial owners and authorized signers

Some business types cannot be approved for Slash Crypto due to regulatory requirements. If your business operates in a restricted industry (such as iGaming or certain high-risk categories), your crypto application may be declined even if you have an active Slash banking account.

How to Apply for Slash Crypto

Step 1: Navigate to Crypto Settings

From your Slash dashboard, click Crypto in the left navigation menu. If you haven't yet enabled crypto, you'll see a prompt to get started.

Step 2: Begin the Application

Click Get Started or Enable Crypto to begin the onboarding process. Slash will collect some additional information required by our crypto partner.

Step 3: Verify Your Business Information

Review your business details to make sure they're current. The application will pre-fill information from your existing Slash account, including your business name, address, and registered agent details. Update any information that has changed.

Step 4: Verify Beneficial Owners

Provide information about anyone who owns 25% or more of the business, as well as at least one controlling person (such as a CEO, CFO, or managing member). This is a standard requirement for crypto compliance.

Step 5: Submit Your Application

Once you've reviewed and confirmed all information, submit your application. Most applications are processed within a few minutes, though some may take 1-2 business days if additional review is required.

After You're Approved

Once approved, you'll have access to your Slash Crypto account. From the Crypto page, you can:

• View your wallet address: Share this address to receive USDC, USDT, or other supported stablecoins
• Add funds: Deposit crypto from an external wallet or exchange
• Send crypto: Transfer stablecoins to external addresses on supported networks
• Convert funds: Move between your USD balance and crypto holdings

Your crypto wallet is linked to your Slash entity, so all team members with appropriate permissions can view balances and initiate transactions based on their assigned roles.

Processing Times

• Crypto deposits: Typically confirmed within minutes to 30 minutes, depending on network congestion
• Crypto withdrawals: Near-instant once the blockchain transaction confirms
• USD to crypto conversions: Usually complete within seconds
