Payoneer fees: what you actually pay
Payoneer fees depend on how money comes in, how it goes out, and what you do with it in between. Fees can apply when you receive payments, move money, convert currencies, or use your Payoneer card. There’s also a $29.95 annual account fee, subject to Payoneer’s terms and regional differences as well as a 0.50% fee when moving funds between Payoneer balances. Payoneer breaks pricing into several layers: getting paid, using balances, and the Payoneer card:

Hidden Payoneer fees to watch for
Beyond the headline fees, a few costs are easy to overlook:
- Exchange rates: The rate used when converting currencies can affect how much ultimately lands in your account.
- Minimum withdrawal fees: Minimum charges can apply to certain withdrawals, making smaller transfers relatively more expensive.
- Card & ATM fees: Cross-border spending, currency conversion, and cash withdrawals can introduce additional charges.
The bigger issue is stacking: receiving, converting, withdrawing, and spending can each have their own cost, so it’s worth looking at the full payment flow—not just one fee.
How to save on international payment fees
The easiest way to reduce international payment fees is to look at the entire path your money takes. How you get paid, whether you need to convert currencies, and how you eventually withdraw or spend the funds can all affect the final cost.
Avoiding unnecessary currency conversions can make a meaningful difference. If possible, hold funds in their original currency, batch payments, and reduce extra steps between receiving and using your money.
It’s also worth considering whether your payment setup still fits your business. Payoneer can work well for receiving payouts and moving funds, while businesses that also need vendor payments, cards, invoicing, and global payments may benefit from a broader financial platform.
Ultimately, the goal isn't just to find the lowest individual fee. It's to reduce the number of fees and steps between getting paid and putting that money to work.
