What's the difference between the Global USD account and Slash Platinum account?

Slash's Global USD is available exclusively to non-U.S. businesses, offering access to ACH and wire transfers, SWIFT, and stablecoin payments.  Slash Platinum customers have access to Slash's full features, including cards. Global USD users have access to our Global Card product through their Slash dashboard.

What are use cases of Global USD?

If you're a foreign business owner with no SSN, EIN or LLC, Global USD lets you hold and move U.S. dollars globally. This means lower conversion costs, easier settlements (via ACH, wires, SWIFT, and stablecoins, and global access to USD and the US financial system.

Is my Global USD account FDIC insured?

Accepted Answer

No. Your Global USD account is not a non-custodial crypto wallet. While Slash Platinum users may access up to $200 million in FDIC insurance, the reserves in your account are instead held in a mix of U.S. Treasuries and USDC, which are made publicly available here.

Yes. Global USD users have access to both physical and virtual cards through their Slash dashboard.

Can I send and receive crypto from my Global USD account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can send and receive US-pegged stablecoins, including USDC, USDT, and USDSL, Slash's own stablecoin, through your Global USD account.

Yes. While it isn’t a branch-based checking account, your Global USD account works similarly. With a Global USD account, non-U.S. businesses can hold balances, send and receive USD using ACH and wires transfers, SWIFT, and stablecoin.
