Introducing ACH Authorization Rules

Nobody wants vendors randomly pulling funds from their business account. But managing ACH payments manually and reviewing every single transaction is inefficient and slows your business down.

You want to have control over authorized ACH pulls... but you also want to make those controls easy to set and manage

What are Slash ACH Authorization Rules

Slash ACH Authorization Rules allow you to set rules for how vendors can withdraw money from your account. Instead of manually reviewing vendor withdrawals, you can:

  1. Auto-approve single transaction limits for trusted vendors so payments process automatically, and without the need to manually authorize.
    1. Amazon Associates is authorized to withdraw up to $10,000.00
    2. Shopify Affiliates is authorized to withdraw up to $20,000.00
  2. Require manual approval for other vendors, or if an authorized vendor’s pull exceeds the approved single transaction limit, before funds are pulled from your account.
  3. Assign specific team members to review and approve transactions.

This allows you to:

  • Prevent unauthorized or unexpected vendor withdrawals
  • Eliminate manual busywork by auto-approving recognized & expected payments
  • Get full visibility and keep teams accountable with clear review and approval workflows

How It Works

  • Click on the Payments page on the left-side column and click on Payments policies on the top right.
  • Click down on the ACH Authorizations section.
  • Set your Default Policy – Choose whether to auto-approve or require manual review for all incoming ACH transactions.
  • Click ‘+ Authorize new vendor’ and select or add a vendor, along with their ACH Company ID and the approved single transaction limit to auto-approve this transaction.
    • You can find a vendor’s ACH Company ID by: (1) checking the transaction details of a recent ACH debit from that vendor, or (2) find it directly from the vendor’s finance or billing team or directly from their website.
  • Customize team approvals – Assign specific team members to review transactions before they go through.
  • Set a manual review window — if the manual review window expires, either auto-approve or auto-reject.
  • Adjust rules anytime – Stay flexible and refine your policy as your business scales.

The Bottom Line

With Slash’s ACH Authorization Rules, you get complete control over how money moves in and out of your account — without the hassle of manual approvals for every transaction.

You set the rules, and every ACH transaction on your Slash account follows them.
